The article elaborates the contradictions that are originating from 360 feedback strategy for leaders. There is an assumption that every individual understands how he or she thinks and is able to give the best picture of their inner self. However, the article brings out a contradiction to this notion by suggesting that data relating to surveys done show that all leaders asked to judge themselves always underrate their capabilities (Armour 6-7).
According to the article, Leadership effectiveness is dictated by the subjects and assessment results from 360 feedback survey received from the subjects depicts the real capability of the managers, whether objective or subjective as long as the result is material and affects company operation. Thus it is important to act on the feedback received from your juniors for self-assessment.
Business success according to the article, majorly, on 360 feedback. This is where subjective data collected gives correlates to objective results that affect business performance directly. As a probable future manager, I need to learn to understand the effects of subjective 360-feedback to unbiased business results.

Therefore a leader’ skills should not be measured by a greater number of competencies acquired.
