A leader, charged with the responsibility of shaping the image of the organization and elevating success standards, must have a specific ideology and framework. The first step towards having a recognizable style is based on understanding the current needs and possibilities. In most cases, an organization will have limited time and resources to achieve its goals. This calls for optimizing the use of the available resources and competencies. The other core consideration for a leader or manager is defining the ideal ways of engaging the workforce. While the top-level management has the optimal authority in the organization, it is the workers that carry out the day-to-day obligations of the organization. Therefore, the leader has to come up with the best measures for motivating the workers and facilitating optimal productivity. Presently, overly dictatorial or static styles rarely produce the desired results. On the contrary, friendly management strategies tend to inspire increased productivity. For instance, focusing on a transformational approach to leadership is an idea based on the assured benefits to both the workforce and the organization.
