Osteoid Osteoma
Abstract
A rare benign bone tumor, osteoid osteoma, is commonly identified in young adults. Small bone spurs that grow on the damaged bone due to the tumor are quite painful. This article aims to describe osteoid osteoma bone disease, including its causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. This condition is diagnosed using diagnostic imaging modalities such as plain radiography, CT scans, MRI scans, scintigraphy and PET scans. There are both non-surgical and surgical approaches to treating this disease. The efficacy of various osteoid osteoma bone disease treatment approaches will be examined in this paper. The study will also go through the disease's epidemiology and demography and offer insights into where research on this disease might go.
Introduction
An osteoid osteoma is a noncancerous bone tumor that causes the damaged bone to develop small bone spurs. The condition is frequently seen in young adults and is sometimes associated with immense pain in the damaged bone. Although the tumor can develop in any bone in the body, long bones, particularly those in the legs, are where it is most frequently found. This paper aims to provide a thorough overview of the osteoid osteoma bone condition, covering its root causes, signs and symptoms, methods of diagnosis, available treatments, and preventive measures. This study will thoroughly grasp osteoid osteoma by examining its characteristics, enabling early diagnosis, suitable treatment, and efficient prevention.
Causes
The exact causes of osteoid osteoma are yet unclear. While the specific origin is unknown, researchers
