Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of infirmity” (WHO, 1946). To improve the health of Canadians, the following are some of the things I’d consider doing. 
1 Educate Canadians on Healthy Eating
To change the health of Canadians, we should first address their feeding behaviors. A study by the Global Burden of Disease Study shows that unhealthy feeding is the number one risk for death and the number two risk for disability. Over the last 25 years, cases of overweight and obesity in Canadians, including children and adolescents aged 2 to 17 years, have continued to increase, and among the many causes is unhealthy eating, (IPCHLS, 2005). 
Eating Well with Canada’s Food Guide will help in educating Canadians on how to achieve the required amounts of each nutrient to improve health. To address these risks, I would work with the policymakers around food production and nutritionists
