Leadership is a vital skill in every organisation, and most of the time the performance of an organisation is influenced by the type of leadership the management employs. Effective leadership is propelled by accountability, and more often the overall leader must and will at all level hold themselves accountable, in doing so they create a conducive environment to holding their subordinates accountable to their deeds (Lashway, 2001). Organisations which its top management leadership is accountable is likely to reach its performance peak and hence delivers as per its objectives. Leaders in such organisations where accountability is the key are takes full responsibility of their deeds, and more often they take criticism positively.
