Leadership is a vital skill in every organisation, and most of the time the performance of an organisation is influenced by the type of leadership the management employs. Effective leadership is propelled by accountability, and more often the overall leader must and will at all level hold themselves accountable, in doing so they create a conducive environment to holding their subordinates accountable to their deeds (Lashway, 2001).
